OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The TeamSuatain Solar Water Heating System operates on the principle of "Effective Thermosyphon". The system consists of a storage tank, Solar Collector and internal piping. The water in the collector on exposure to sunlight becomes hot making the denser cold water in the system storage tank move down to the collector pushing the hot water up to the storage tank. This process continues through the entire day making the insulated storage tank full with hot water.

Stainless Steel - Grade 304, 18swg, Insulation - 100mm Rockwool of 48Kg/M³ density with 22swg Aluminium cladding on top.
COLLECTOR
The heart of the Solar Water Heater is the Collector. It absorbs the energy from solar radiation and transfers heat to the water flowing in the copper risers and headers.
COLLECTOR BOX
Weather-tight construction. Dimensions of 2080mm x 1070mm x 100mm (nominal). Constructed of corrosion-resistant extruded Aluminium sections of 16 swg. Aluminium back sheet of 22swg.
SACRIFICIAL ANODE
Aluminium-Magnesium Alloy for corrosion protection.
ABSORBER
9 numbers of Copper tube risers -12.5mm OD 24swg wall thickness. Copper tube headers 25mm OD 22swg wall thickness. Copper fins 34swg NAlSUN selective coating for higher efficiency. Absorptivity - 0.97± 0.02 Emissivity -0.20 ± 0.02
GLAZING
Single pane, 4mm toughened and tempered glasses with rupture resistance.
THERMAL INSULATION
Mineral wool 50mm thick on the back and 25mm thick on the sides covered with Aluminium foil.
REFLECTIVE FOIL
Aluminium foil 24 microns thick.
ELECTRICAL BACK-UP
2KW with auto-control thermostat.
SUPPORTS FOR TANK AND COLLECTOR
Mild Steel, 2 coats Zinc Chromate Primer with 2 coats black enamel.
